Your Pooch is in very safe and expert hands
Regular grooming not only keeps your dog happy and healthy, it also is essential for your dog’s overall health and well-being.
Regular grooming helps maintain a healthy coat, prevents matting, and can help detect any skin, ear or feet issues early. John Paul provides the care, affection and required treatment your four-legged friends need, making them (as well as you!) more comfortable and confident.
You too can help their coat in between grooming with regular brushing, which helps prevent issues of grass seed infections and matting which can cause uncomfortable life for you and your four-legged friend.
- Full body wash and condition
- Full body trim
- Face / Legs / Tail area tidy
- Paw Hair Trim
- Nail clip
- Breed specific requirements
**Note: Matted dogs will require full body trim with additional cost. Priced upon assessment (light to heavy matted) and advised after initial assessment before commence of session.
Fully matted dogs may need assessment requiring two separate appointments to meet the pooches care and attention.
John Paul is simply amazing with his care and love of our pets. He only works on one puppy at a time so there is no angst with unhappy dogs waiting near each other.
Very honest and very caring.
Highly recommended. Mash & Chilli love going to see John Paul.
If you are lucky enough to get your dog groomed by John Paul you will never go anywhere else!
We have had dogs all our lives and have never found someone as good or as loving and caring as him.
The attention to detail and personal service is excellent and the dogs absolutely love the whole experience. Highly recommend!
John Paul is literally amazing! So lovely and gentle with my precious Charlie.
Previously I was attending a groomer which took all day, as he was grouped in with other dogs.
John Paul focuses his time and attention on just the one, and I think that makes all the difference. Plus he was done in an hour & a half!
… Highly recommended 🐶❤️
John Paul is our GO TO for the grooming needs of our hounds.
The dogs enjoy the experience and the service, care and love that John Paul puts into every groom is second to none.
I recommend John Paul without hesitation.
John Paul is the GOD of dog groomers – he has groomed all of our furbabies over the years and is not only so kind and genuinely caring about doggos but is very talented at his craft.
Thank you John Paul 🙏

We took our 4 month old Poochon Jimmy to his first groom with JP. We were greeted by a warm professional who clearly cares about our pups needs before anything else!
A1 experience from start to end. Jimmy was completely at ease when we arrived to collect him.
Price was more than reasonable and we were offered excellent advice on products etc. Jimmy looks like a Superstar with his fresh new look. We have already booked our next appointment.
Thanks John Paul!
Wow my dog looks amazing!
Top quality service. Thank you, John 😆
Privately run groomer. Since I am participating in the contest, I am glad that the cutting is so good that I feel safe and can be entrusted with the job.
10/10 for Quality and Service!
If you’re looking for a highly professional and experienced dog groomer in Melbourne – look no further than John Paul’s Pooches.
His friendly and caring nature make for a very enjoyable experience for both dogs and their owners.
We are so happy we have found John Paul.
Teddy looks great, was relaxed and happy when I picked him up (unlike previous groomers where he was stressed, thirsty and upset!) and I got regular photos of progress which all mothers love!
Would highly recommend.
Professional service and provides high quality washes and grooming.
Best of all, my two dogs love visiting John Paul, which is comforting.
They always look a million dollars when they leave.
Fantastic service!
I’ve taken my dog to many groomers over the years and John Paul is by far the best.
He is very flexible with his bookings which suits my busy schedule.
An absolutely gorgeous standard poodle clip – John Paul’s expertise could not be faulted and our dog has never looked better.
The shampoo used is absolutely divine and we now have a shiny, fragrant and very handsome hound!
